Dr. Jamal Alamiri

Dr. Jamal Alamiri, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Urology Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Surgical Institute, specializing in minimally invasive and robotic urologic surgery.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alamiri served as a Staff Urologist at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus in Ohio, where he provided care for patients with complex urologic conditions and was involved in resident education, clinical research, and clinical trials.

Dr. Alamiri earned his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), graduating with First Class Honors. He is the first Emirati and international medical graduate to complete a Uurology residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA. He subsequently completed fellowship training in Endourology, Robotic Surgery, and Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Surgery at Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Alamiri is the first Emirati American Board-–Certified Urologist. His honors include the Distinguished Doctor Scholarship from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, awarded by the late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and recognition through the Kelalis Resident Essay Competition from the Minnesota Urological Society. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in urology and has presented research at prominent international conferences. He is currently the only urologist in the UAE with US experience who performs minimally invasive holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) for the treatment of benign prostatic enlargement. Dr. Alamiri is a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourology Society.

Originally from Khorfakkan, Dr. Alamiri enjoys spending his free time running, hiking, and with his family.
