Peng Xiao

Chairman, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Council Member of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) of Abu Dhabi & Group CEO of G42

Peng Xiao is a global technology business leader and investor with a strong track record of building breakthrough products, delivering customer success, and achieving commercial results.

Peng is a council member of the Abu Dhabi AIATC, established to develop and implement policies and strategies related research, infrastructure, and investments in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies in Abu Dhabi. In collaboration with local and global partners, the council enhances Abu Dhabi's position as a world-leading AI hub.

In his role as Group CEO of G42, Peng is responsible for crafting the Group’s business and investment strategies, and overseeing the portfolio across numerous verticals, including smart cities, healthcare, energy, education, and finance. The Group has developed world-class solutions in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Mobile Technology, and Cloud Computing for enterprise customers, government clients, and also consumers.

Previously as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Information Officer of MicroStrategy, Peng spent a decade in the information technology and enterprise software industries. Peng led R&D of the company’s product portfolio, including Business Intelligence, Secure Identity, and Mobile Commerce.

Over the years, Peng has established a partnership ecosystem to promote joint technology and business development with his counterparts at Meta, eBay, Citigroup, PayPal, and many Fortune 500 companies, rapidly creating and deploying cutting-edge analytics, mobile, and commerce solutions.

Peng is a founding member of the Board of Trustees of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the world’s first graduate-level, research-based AI university, launched on October 2018 in Abu Dhabi.

 
 

Tommaso Falcone, MD, FRCS(C), FACOG

Executive Vice President & President, International and Emerging Markets

Cleveland Clinic

Tommaso Falcone is Executive Vice President and President of International and Emerging Markets. In this role, Dr. Falcone leads and executes Cleveland Clinic’s strategic initiatives in established and emerging international markets. This includes enterprise-wide Global Patient Services, International Operations, Cleveland Canada and Cleveland Clinic Nevada. He also works closely with leaders at Cleveland Clinic London and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Previously, Dr. Falcone was Chief of Staff at Cleveland Clinic London before becoming its interim president in June 2023.

Dr. Falcone graduated from McGill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec. He then completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at McGill. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and was appointed Fellow (ad eundem) of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of the United Kingdom.

Dr. Falcone has held leadership roles in national and international surgical societies and continues to serve as Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Falcone is the senior author on the first publication in the world on gynecologic robotic surgery and is a member of the team that performed the first uterus transplant in the U.S.

 
 

Dimitris Moulavasilis

Group Chief Executive Officer

M42

Dimitris Moulavasilis is the Group Chief Executive Officer of M42, a global health champion powered by artificial intelligence, technology and genomics to transform care for all. With over 30 years of international experience in healthcare services and medical technology, Dimitris is known for driving innovation and excellence across the industry.

In addition to his current role, Dimitris also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of M42’s Global Patient Care platform, a central component of M42’s mission to transform healthcare on a global scale. Under his leadership, the Global Patient Care platform has integrated M42’s UAE and international healthcare assets, consisting of 480 clinics across 26 countries, and serving 15 million patients annually. The platform delivers comprehensive healthcare services, including Renal Care, Outpatient and Chronic Disease Management, Diagnostics, Women's & Children's Health, Specialty Surgery, and Long-Term Care.

Dimitris served as the Chief Executive Officer of Diaverum, one of the world’s leading global renal care providers, since 2018, spearheading major digital transformation initiatives, focusing on digitizing clinical workflows and integrating machine learning technologies to provide high-quality renal care at scale. Before this, he was the Group Chief Executive Officer at Affidea, a leading pan-European provider of imaging, outpatient and cancer care services, where he led the company from 2012 to 2018. Earlier in his career, Dimitris held senior sales management roles at GE Healthcare, specializing in ultrasound systems and medical imaging devices.

Ricky Thirion

Group Chief Financial Officer

G42

Ricky is the Group Chief Financial Officer of G42 responsible for Group Finance and Investments. Prior to G42 he served for 12 years as Group Treasurer and Interim CFO of Etihad Airways.

Ricky has worked in the aviation, banking, mining and technology sectors with leading and listed companies such as South African Airways, Standard Bank, Gold Fields and Dimension Data.

He holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, is an Honorary Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK), and has won numerous international awards as Treasurer and dealmaker.

 

Michael P. Cleanis

Executive Director – Growth & Value Creation, UAE Investments Platform

Mubadala Investment Company

Michael is the Executive Director of Growth & Value Creation (“GVC”) within Mubadala’s UAE Investments Platform and a member of the platform’s Executive Leadership Team and Platform Investment Committee. GVC provides a centralized M&A and capital markets execution function, driving new investments, monetization and divestment activities. The unit develops the platform’s strategy and new sector identification and cultivates relationships with the investor community that can partner with our existing assets or new ventures and transactions.

Michael sits on a number of boards and committees. He is a Board Member and Chairman of the ARCC at M42 Health, and a Board Member and Member of the ARCC at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. At Mubadala Bio, he serves as a Board Member and Member of the Strategy and Investment Committee, while at Network International & Magnati he is a Board Member and Member of the ARCC. He is also a Board Member and Member of the Investment Committee at Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners, and a Member of the Finance Committee at Tabreed. Previously, he served as a Board Member of Leaseplan Emirates.

With 20+ years of experience, Michael began his career in investment banking where he held various roles at Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch in Brussels, London and Dubai. Before joining Mubadala, he was head of investment banking for the Middle & North Africa at UBS and a member of the regional group executive committee.

He has over 15 years of experience in the Middle East and has led and advised on over $100bn worth of M&A and capital markets transactions. He was a founding Chairman of UBS Community Affairs where he developed the partnership with the Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, an educational centre for children with special needs and is a member of the advisory board of the Dubai International Chamber.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science In Economics, summa cum laude, from the Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium and a Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD.

 

Mina Abdulla Hamoodi

Head of Healthcare

Mubadala Investment Company

Mina is the Head of Healthcare within Mubadala’s Private Equity platform and has been with the company since 2009, focusing on the healthcare space.

Throughout her career at Mubadala, she has had varied experiences encompassing operational and investment roles. She previously served as the CEO of Abu Dhabi Telemedicine Centre, a joint venture in partnership with Medgate AG, and supported the development of other transformational UAE healthcare projects, including the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to her career at Mubadala, Mina worked with the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court - Office of Strategic Affairs, on various strategic priorities for the UAE. She has served on the board of directors of several Mubadala Group companies and is currently on the board of Envirotainer, Zelis, Mubadala Bio and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She is also a member of the Mubadala Private Equity Investment Committee and the Mubadala Investment & Business Planning Committee.

Mina received her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering (cum laude) from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.

 

HE Saad Rafic Hariri

 

A prominent former Prime Minister, and international businessman with over two decades of experience in governance, diplomacy, and private sector leadership. Known for advocating moderate, reform-oriented policies, he guided Lebanon through pivotal transitional phases and secured international support, including the $11 billion CEDRE program.

Beyond politics, he led Saudi Oger and co-founded major institutions such as BankMed and MedGulf, driving investment in banking, insurance, telecommunications, and real estate. Educated at Georgetown University, he is fluent in Arabic, English, French, and Italian, and has been recognized globally for his contributions to diplomacy, economic reform, and interfaith dialogue.
