Dr. Rachel Kornrich

Dr. Rachel Kornrich, MD, is a Staff Physician Family Medicine Consultant in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.  

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Kornrich was a Senior Physician in Women’s Health at The Permanente Medical Group affiliated with the Kaiser Permanente Northern California hospital system, US.

Dr. Kornrich received her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University, Oregon, US.  She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Washington and a second residency in Preventive Medicine at Emory University, Georgia.

Throughout her career, Dr. Kornrich has believed in the power of the individual to create and manage their own health. During her time at Emory University, she co-developed and incorporated a Lifestyle Medicine practice within an academic Family Medicine clinic to support patients in making therapeutic evidence-based lifestyle changes.  At Kaiser Permanente, despite her busy clinical practice in women’s health, she always took the opportunity to help a patient identify a behavior or action to improve health. 

She uses a combination of medications, evidence-based guidelines to screen for important medical conditions and evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat and reverse chronic disease.  She regularly relies on dietary changes, physical activity habits, sleep hygiene habits, stress management tools and other non-drug modalities. Her greatest accomplishments have been supporting patients in behaviors that measurably improve their lives and health outcomes.  

Dr. Kornrich resides in Abu Dhabi, with her husband, children and pets. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, cooking and travelling.
