Dr. Yaser Alkhatib, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Hematology & Blood Cancer Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhbai’s Cancer Institute.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alkhatib was a Consultant Oncologist at Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi, where he also held the position of Chief Medical Officer Hematology/Oncology and Cellular Therapy Center.
Dr. Alkhatib received his medical degree from University of Jordan – Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship training at Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, where he also served as a Chief Fellow.
Dr. Alkhatib was awarded the Dudak Award for Research and the fellow of the year award during his training at Henry Ford Hospital/Wayne State University. He was also awarded the Vicente Valero LBJ Clinician Educator of the year award by MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has published numerous articles in major journals including Blood and Leukemia & Lymphoma.
Dr. Alkhatib resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and 4 kids. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.
