Dr. Nawras Abuhamidah, MD, FACP, is an Internal Medicine Staff Physician in the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She is part of the Preventive Medicine department.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Abuhamidah spent over a decade training and practicing in the US. She served as Chief Resident at the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System, and later as an Attending Physician and Assistant Professor at Creighton University Medical Center. As core teaching faculty, she played a pivotal role in educating and mentoring medical students, nurse practitioner students and residents.
Dr. Abuhamidah obtained her medical degree from the University of Tripoli, Libya, and was awarded a scholarship to complete her postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and has conducted multiple quality improvement projects. Dr. Abuhamidah also holds a physician leadership certification from the ACP.
Currently residing in Abu Dhabi with her family, Dr. Abuhamidah's interests extend beyond medicine. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, volunteering to support her community, engaging in sports, and traveling.
