Dr. Muhammad Kamran Farooq

Dr. Muhammad Kamran Farooq, MBBS, is an Associate Staff Physician within the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Digestive Disease Institute.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Kamran was working in SEHA - Abu Dhabi Health Services. He worked for around two years in Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi as a Specialist Physician in the Gastroenterology Unit.

Dr. Kamran is from Pakistan and pursued his medical education in Lahore, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine. He opted for Gastroenterology as his professional career path, driven by a deep interest in the complexities of the digestive system and its impact on overall health. He completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology, which further honed his diagnostic and therapeutic skills in managing a wide spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Kamran’s areas of interest within gastroenterology include Luminal GI disorders and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). He finds great professional satisfaction in staying up-to-date with advancements in these fields and applying evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes.

Dr. Kamran lives in Abu Dhabi with his wife and 3 children. His favourite hobbies are playing table tennis and cricket. Watching movies and reading history books are also among his favourite pastimes.
