Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Emergency Department Receives ENA Lantern Award for Third Consecutive Time
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Emergency Department has received the ENA Lantern Award for the third consecutive time. Only three hospitals outside the US have ever earned this distinction, and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was the only emergency department outside the US to receive the Lantern Award in 2026.
The ENA Lantern Award recognizes excellence in emergency nursing leadership, evidence-based practice, patient safety, quality improvement, staff well-being, education, advocacy, research and innovation.
The Emergency Department demonstrated sustained excellence across the ENA Lantern Award criteria and implemented measurable improvements in emergency care delivery. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi Ranked as Top Smart Hospital in UAE and GCC for fifth Consecutive Year
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, has been named as the UAE and Gulf region’s top smart hospital in Newsweek’s 2026 ‘World’s Best Smart Hospitals’ rankings. This is the fifth consecutive year that the hospital has featured at the top of the list.
Competing against renowned hospitals from around the world, the recognition reflects Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s commitment to providing the most advanced treatments, leveraging the latest in healthcare technology, and strengthening the UAE’s position as a leading destination for world-class care.
The ranking places the hospital amongst the top healthcare facilities globally and highlights its provision of smart technologies including electronic functionalities, telemedicine, digital imaging, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics.
