In line with government issued guidelines, physical distancing measures have been put in place including re-arranged and blocked off seating in public areas. Floor stickers have been placed in the throughout the hospital to help people maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters from each other.
All visitors and caregivers must wear a mask at all times while on hospital grounds to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 through coughs, sneezes and even conversation.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi has always followed the highest international standards for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the hospital. In light of the current pandemic, we have increased the frequency of deep sanitization of clinical units and work environments, meet exceed industry standards.
All patients admitted to Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi are tested for COVID-19 in order to protect other patients and caregivers. Patients who test positive are placed in isolation units to receive the necessary care. Our caregivers are regularly screened for COVID-19 as part of the hospital’s preventative measures.
All COVID-19 patients at the hospital are kept in negative pressure rooms or isolation units to ensure they are kept separate from other patients and visitors. These units are only accessible by caregivers wearing full PPE. Additionally, our Emergency Department has established a protocol to separate suspected COVID-19 cases from other patients.
Patients can now request a home delivery for their medications to anywhere in the UAE to ensure that you are able to receive your prescription safely, without having to collect in person at the pharmacy. Find out more about Medication Home Delivery Service
We offer virtual visits for patients who do not require a physical examination, to see their doctor and discuss health concerns via video appointments on their smartphone or mobile device. Find out more about Virtual Visits.
We work with local suppliers to provide PPE designed to international safety standards to protect both our patients and caregivers. All Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi caregivers are fully trained in the effective and safe use and disposal of PPE.
When visiting the hospital, thermal cameras installed at the entrance will check your temperature. Anyone with a raised temperature is not permitted to enter any part of the hospital other than the Emergency Department. All caregivers are also required to check and log their temperature at the beginning of each shift.
