19Dr. Mohamed Riaz Dharsey, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Emergency Medicine Department at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Dharsey worked as a consultant in the Emergency Department at Johns Hopkins Aramco Hospital, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He also held the position of Patient Safety Officer within the unit.
Dr. Dharsey received his medical degree from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (Wits). He completed his residency at Wits University and his fellowship at the College of Emergency Medicine South Africa FCEM.
Dr. Dharsey is passionate about resident training and has been actively involved in the Johns Hopkins Aramco Hospital resident program. Prior to his move to the Middle East, he was HOD of the Emergency Department in Natalspruit Hospital, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Dharsey resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife. He has two sons living abroad. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports and travelling.
