Dr. Haytham Salti, MD FACS, is a Staff Physician in the Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Salti was the section head of the retina division in the Ophthalmology Department at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Beirut, Lebanon. He was also the coordinator of medical education.
Dr. Salti received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his residency at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.
He then went on to sub specialize in the field of retina and did a one year of fellowship in vitreo-retinal surgery at the University of Virginia Health Science Center in Charlottesville, Virginia, US. This was followed by a medical retina fellowship at the Beetham Eye Institute-Joslin Diabetes Center as part of Harvard University, Boston, Massachusetts, US. He continued his training and did one year as a research fellow at the Research division-Joslin Diabetes Center as part of Harvard University.
Dr. Salti resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three kids.
He enjoys music, tennis, swimming, watching black and white movies and reading.
