Dr. Christine Borchelt, MD, is an Internal Medicine consultant in the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She is part of the Preventive Medicine department, focusing on Executive Health.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Borchelt worked as a hospitalist at Montefiore Medical Center from 2004 to 2008. She also took on the role of Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she educated medical students and residents on the inpatient medical service, as well as in the Physical Diagnosis course.
From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Borchelt worked as an Attending Physician at the Manhattan campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs and joined the New York University School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Borchelt continued her role as educator by training residents in Internal Medicine. She was also the lead clinician at the VA Chapel Street Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
Dr. Borchelt completed her undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, US where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she also completed residency training in Internal Medicine in 2004.
