8Dr. Aya Itani, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Emergency Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Itani was a clinical instructor and attending physician at NYU Langone Health in New York City.
Dr. Itani received her medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, US.
Following her residency, she completed a fellowship in Emergency Department Safety and Quality at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She also earned a Masters degree in Public Health focusing on healthcare policy, management and health law at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.
Dr. Itani’s goals are focused on improving quality of care, leading educational efforts in patient safety, and implementing practice innovation and strategic initiatives to promote effective, efficient, and safe care for our patients.
Dr. Itani resides in Abu Dhabi. She enjoys hiking and wilderness adventures (she has hiked over 15 national parks including the highest peak in North America in Denali National Park, Alaska) and reading high fantasy novels.
