Program Overview

The Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is a comprehensive three-year training program accredited by the ACGME-I & Emirati Board designed to provide the knowledge, skills and attitude required for a successful leadership career in both academic and clinical practice.

Our state-of-the-art hospital allows us to provide outstanding clinical training throughout the three years of fellowship and allows for our fellows to leave as the best trained cardiologists in the region. The complex cases, procedural volume, dedicated faculty, and available research opportunities at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi ensure that our fellows receive comprehensive training in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine.

The structure of our fellowship provides the opportunity for each fellow to grow personally and professionally and tailor their experience to their specific interests and goals.

NIHS & ACGME–I Accredited: Our fellowship program is recognized and approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education – International (ACGME-I) and National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS), also known as the Emirati Board, ensuring rigorous standards and a pathway to professional excellence.

Subspecialty Exposure: Immerse yourself in diverse subspecialties, including our advanced heart failure service taking care of patients with ECMO, LVAD and post heart transplant, structural heart interventions, electrophysiology, multimodality imaging, and cardiac surgery.

Multidisciplinary Team Meetings: Engage in collaborative decision-making through regular multidisciplinary team meetings, fostering teamwork and a holistic approach to patient care.

Comprehensive Didactic: Benefit from a robust didactic curriculum to provide a strong clinical foundation in cardiovascular medicine via active participation in ECG, Echo, Cath, journal club, guidelines updates and board review conferences.

Simulation Lab: Hone your skills in our state-of-the-art simulation lab, providing a realistic environment for hands-on learning and procedural practice.
