Specialized Programs
Oncology Education
- Educating on treatment modalities (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, targeted therapy) including goals, timelines, and what to expect during each phase.
- Teaching patients to recognize, prevent, and manage treatment-related toxicities (e.g., nausea, neutropenic fever precautions, neuropathy, skin changes, fatigue).
- Ensuring understanding of oral anticancer medications, supportive medications, and the importance of adherence to prescribed regimens.
- Clear guidance on red-flag symptoms (fever, bleeding, severe pain, dyspnea) that warrant emergency evaluation.
