Dr. Yasdet Maldonado

Dr. Yasdet Maldonado, MD, MMM, FASE, is Division Chair of Anesthesiology within Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Maldonado held significant leadership roles in the US at Cleveland Clinic and Allegheny Health Network, most recently serving as Enterprise Continuous Improvement Officer for Cleveland Clinic Anesthesiology. In this capacity, Dr. Maldonado led collaborative initiatives with surgeons, anesthesiologists, administrators, and quality teams, using change management, Lean Six Sigma, and analytics to enhance performance metrics.

Dr. Maldonado earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, completed her residency at The Ohio State University Medical Center, and a fellowship at Allegheny Health Network. She also holds a master’s in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Her governance experience spans the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Echocardiography, contributing to committees on guidelines and finance. She has delivered 30+ international lectures and authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in anesthesiology and perioperative echocardiography. She is Associate Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Maldonado resides in Abu Dhabi with her family and enjoys the arts and traveling.
