31Dr. Michael Rodgers, MD, MBChB, MMed (Anes), FCA, EDIC, is a Staff Physician within the Critical Care Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Rodgers worked in Groningen, Netherlands as an intensivist, where he was responsible for a full range of organ transplants, cardiac supporting devices, and all types of neurosurgical interventions and neurological conditions. He has also taught national lung and vascular ultrasound courses and been a speaker at liver transplantation meetings.
Dr. Rodgers has conducted seminars for the training of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography examination, ECMO management and the use of cranial ultrasound.Dr. Rodgers graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 1991.
He completed his Anesthesiology residency in Bloemfontein, obtaining the MMed (anes) and FCA degrees. Following his medical education, he left South Africa for Knokke, Belgium, and then to the UK, where he worked as locum at various hospitals across the country.
