Dr. Laila Hussein

Dr. Laila Hussein, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Laila Hussein worked at Sheikh Shakbout Medical City Emergency Department and at Mafraq Hospital both in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Dr. Laila received her medical degree from University of Jordan. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Rashid Hospital, Dubai. She then completed a Masters degree in Ultrasound from Teesside University, UK.

Dr. Laila was a core faculty at Sheikh Shakbout Medical City Emergency Medicine Residency Program. She was also the Point-of-care Ultrasound Director for the department and Clerkship director for medical students.

Dr. Laila is a frequent speaker and course director at national and international conferences. She has multiple publications and a book chapter related to critical care and ultrasound.

Dr. Laila resides in Abu Dhabi with her husband and three sons. She enjoys reading, painting and hiking.
