Dr. Kelly Huffman

Dr. Kelly L Huffman, PhD, MS, is a Psychologist within the Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Neurological Institute.

Dr. Huffman is a licensed psychologist in both the UAE and US, with over 15 years of experience. She specializes in helping patients with chronic health concerns, for example, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain, headaches, sleep disorders, or other neurological disorders.

Dr. Huffman also can help with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, and has a special interest in women’s mental health.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Huffman worked at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, US, as a Licensed Psychologist in the Centers for Neurological Restoration, Pain Medicine, and the Chronic Pelvic Pain Program in the Women’s Health Institute. Dr. Huffman was also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. In her role, Dr. Huffman was a supervisor in the post-doctoral psychology fellowship and led her section’s research activities. In addition, Dr. Huffman was an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Huffman earned her doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, US. She completed her post-doctoral training in Clinical Health Psychology (Pain Medicine) at Cleveland Clinic Ohio, and her internship training in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at the University of Maryland. She also holds a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in counseling.

Dr. Huffman has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and been invited as a speaker in health psychology in both the US and UAE.
