Dr. Israr Haq, MBBS, FRCEM, FEBEM, DCH, is a Staff Physician within the Emergency Medicine Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Hospital Care Institute.
Prior to joing Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Haq worked as a consultant in the UK in a busy Trauma Unit. He held the position of Resuscitatoin Lead in his department.
Dr. Haq worked in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) from 2013, rotating between various hospitals including spending a substantial amount of time in a Level 1 Trauma Centre.
Dr. Haq completed his fellowship in Emergency Medicine from the Royal College of Emeergency Medicine (RCEM) UK in 2022, after which he also he also completed a fellowship in Emergency Medicine with the European Board (EUSEM). In 2024 he completed a Diploma in Paediatrics which was awarded to him by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) UK.
Dr. Haq has a special interest in resuscitation of the critically ill medical and trauma patient, teaching and simulation, as well in point of care ultrasound (POCUS).
Dr. Haq lives in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three children, and in his spare time he enjoys running and exploring the outdoors.
