Dr. Ghalib received his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. He then served on faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Hospital for two years. He subsequently completed a Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship at UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, with a focus on Advanced Heart Failure Therapies.
Dr. Ghalib is the Medical Director of Mechanical Circulatory Support and the Director of the Cardiomyopathy Center at the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic
Dr. Ghalib resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and children
