Our department is home to a Clinical Pathology Laboratory and a reference Anatomic Pathology (AP) Laboratory. The National Reference Laboratory (NRL), part of the M42 group, manages the technical part of the joint AP Laboratory and is responsible for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s laboratory referral testing.
Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art digital pathology infrastructure, enabling high-resolution slide scanning, secure archiving and seamless remote consultation. Building on this foundation, we are actively collaborating with world-class artificial intelligence partners to integrate cutting-edge algorithms for prostate and breast cancer diagnostics. These advanced tools enhance diagnostic accuracy, support personalized treatment decisions and position our center at the forefront of innovation in precision pathology.
Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and ISO 15189, symbols of the highest quality in medical laboratory testing. In addition, our blood bank is accredited by the Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies (AABB). With pathology and laboratory services available onsite, we can provide quicker testing and results, ensuring every patient receives timely evaluation and treatment.
