What are the eligibility criteria?

Applicants for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi's residency programs must meet the eligibility criteria below.

  • Cumulative medical school Grade Point Average (GPA) of greater than or equal to 3.0 (on a 4.0 point scale), or its equivalent.
  • Fulfillment of licensure requirements set set by the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.
  • Fulfillment of TANSEEQ criteria as per the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.

  • Application prioritization is given to applicants who demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent academic records.
  • Excellent performance on USMLE steps 1 and 2 Clinical Knowledge, or equivalent medical exams.
  • Proof of English language proficiency. TOEFL - a minimum score of 80 for online exam, or 550 on the paper exam, IELTS - a minimum score of 6.5 on the academic test.
  • Medical school graduation within 5 years of application.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is required to follow the Abu Dhabi Residency Program Application and Match, TANSEEQ. The application steps are as follows:

  • Eligible applicants must register and pass the Residency Entrance Examination as conducted by UAE University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

When should I apply?

The TANSEEQ application form is available in early March every year, and should be submitted by the end of March. You will need to register for a TANSEEQ online account in order to complete and submit your application.
