To protect the health of our patients, visitors and caregivers, we have made a number of changes to help reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19.

We appreciate your support in helping us to reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19, while ensuring our patients can continue to receive support from their family, friends and loved ones. 

Changes to scheduled outpatient appointments​​​

We are working to replacing non-urgent outpatient visits with virtual visits where appropriate, via our Health Portal website and app.
If this impacts you, a member from our team will contact you to let you know about the change, ahead of your scheduled appointment.

Non-essential surgeries to be postponed​

If you have an elective procedure scheduled with us you might receive an SMS about your procedure being postponed. A member from our team will contact you in the next few days to reschedule. 

Changes to patient visitation policies​​​

During this time, please check the website before you visit, as visiting hours are subject to change during this period.
Effective Sunday 24 Jan 2021:
  • In line with a mandate by the UAE government, all hospitals in Abu Dhabi now require visitors to inpatients to present a negative PCR result issued within 24 hours of their visit. 
  • All visitors who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 are excluded from this requirement. They will be required to show they have been vaccinated on the Al Hosn app upon arrival.
  • These changes are designed to reduce the risk of community transmission of COVID-19 while ensuring our patients can continue to receive support from their family, friends and loved ones.​
  • Patient visiting hours are from 9AM – 12PM and 4PM – 8PM for all patient floors. ​
  • Only two visitors are allowed at a time.
  • All visitors must wear a mask at all times and adhere to all infection control measures implemented by the hospital, including physical distancing
  • Overnight stays are not permitted at this time.​​​

Can inpatients receive direct calls from family to their room?​​

Yes, friends and family can contact patients directly by calling 800 8 2223 and selecting option 4, followed by the extension number displayed on the patient’s in-room telephone. Calls can also be made to numbers outside of the hospital by dialing 9 followed by the phone number.

Update on private caregivers​​

Please note that private caregivers are no longer permitted to stay with patients, outside of regular visiting hours.  
Please speak with the patient’s Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi caregiver team if you have any questions about your loved one’s care.

No external food policy

In line with international best practise for infection control, we ask that you do not bring food into the campus. ​

Access to the Emergency Department

In-line with international best practices, we have restricted access to the Emergency Department for patients and visitors through the main doors only. 
Please note, parking is not permitted in front of the Emergency Department. ​

Valet services suspended

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is no longer offering valet parking services, until further notice.
Please proceed to the underground carpark for access to self-parking spaces close to both the clinics, and the hospital facilities. ​
