The aim of this two-day symposium is to highlight the importance of diagnosing malnutrition and its application to clinical practice. Day one of the symposium will provide an opportunity to learn the current adult malnutrition diagnosis guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.

Participants will also learn about the principles of performing a nutrition focused physical examination (NFPE). Day two will provide a unique opportunity to learn and develop the skills to perform a NFPE in our Simulation Center with hands-on stations using trained volunteers and the support of our experienced Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi dietitians.
