Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak served as a consultant in Neurology and Clinical Lead in the Stroke Department at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Orpington, Kent, UK. He then went on to serve as a consultant in Neurology at the King’s College Hospital in London, UK.
Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak received his medical degree from the Medical University of Warsaw, Warsaw, Poland, where he also underwent his residency. He completed international fellowships in vascular neurology at Helskinki University Hospital, Helsinki, Finland, and eventually obtained his subspecialty qualification in vascular neurology and neurosonology from the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2005.
Dr. Piechowski-Jozwiak is an active researcher in stroke and has written more than 30 peer-reviewed academic papers and book chapters on topics ranging from stroke aetiology, prevention, treatment, and clinical presentation, to concepts of hysteria and artistic performance in neurological diseases.
