Transplant Program Highlights

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Transplant Center provides innovative transplantation services to patients from across the region.

Our center was the UAE’s first and only multi-organ transplant facility and has performed over 530 transplants since its launch in 2017.

The program was the first in the UAE to perform heart, liver, lung, and pancreas transplants, and was the first in the UAE to perform complex multi-organ transplants. In 2021, the program performed the UAE’s first ‘own’ kidney transplant, a complex surgery in which surgeons transplanted a kidney back into a patient after removing it to excise a cancerous tumor.
