Clinical Services (7)

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is a critical and acute care hospital focused on the treatment of complex medical conditions within our areas of specialization. We have five Centers of Excellence within our 12 Institutes.

Our five Centers of Excellence were specifically selected to address the most pressing health concerns of the Abu Dhabi community. Many of the medical conditions treated within these Institutes constitute the top reasons UAE patients travel abroad for treatment. The five Centers of Excellence include:

1. Heart & Vascular Institute

2. Neurological Institute

3. Digestive Disease Institute

4. Eye Institute

5. Respiratory & Critical Care Institute

Replicated from Cleveland Clinic in the US, an Institute is a clinical organization model that groups physicians around a particular disease group or organ system, rather than physicians’ area of specialization.

For example, the Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute focuses on the heart and circulatory system. In the Institute Model, consultant cardiologist and cardiac surgeons work collaboratively within the same department (Institute) to treat a patient’s heart-related condition, rather than requiring the patient to consult with multiple departments and physicians.

They have been evaluated through the same hiring standards and process as physicians at Cleveland Clinic in the US, so you can expect to receive the same caliber of care from Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi as you would at Cleveland Clinic in the US.

All of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Consultant Physicians are Western-trained, North American/European Board Certified (or equivalent) and licensed by the Health Authority-Abu Dhabi (HAAD).

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s physicians are solely dedicated to working and providing patient care at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

In order to ensure the highest quality of care, our physicians only practice at our medical campus. Physicians have generous appointment time offerings for procedures and out-patient clinic visits to accommodate patients with different schedules.

Reporting (2)

Following US-based Cleveland Clinic’s example, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will transparently report clinical outcomes annually.

Transparent reporting provides patients with clear information about the clinical results that the hospital is seeing. It allows patients to make informed decisions based on all available information.
