Our education department is focused on leading healthcare education through the development of robust, competency-based education and professional development programs. We strive to be an academic center of excellence and our Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education Programs, for current and future physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, offer relevant and evidence-based educational courses to those who serve our patients. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is the first organization in the UAE to have been awarded Provisional Accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME®) as a provider of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and to be granted American Medical Association (AMA) Physician's Recognition Award (PRA) Category 1 Credit™.

In pursuit of this goal and in response to the rising standards of complex medical care at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, we offer cutting-edge education through robust, competency-based programs for professionals at every stage of their careers. Our commitment is to deliver strategic and measurable educational initiatives that address the current and future needs of our caregivers, all built on a solid foundation of evidence-based, patient-centred health service provisions.
To enhance our offerings, we actively collaborate with international academic bodies and local educational stakeholders as needed. We take immense pride in being the UAE’s inaugural accredited CME provider within the ACCME system, granting us the authority to issue credits for medical education programs from organizations locally, regionally, and internationally. Additionally, our graduate education programs are accredited by the NIHS, Arab Board and ACGME-I. This recognition underscores our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in medical education and training."
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was awarded designation as a teaching hospital by the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi in June 2016, allowing the hospital to provide basic education and training programs including observerships, clinical attachments and internships.
In 2017, the hospital was designated as a teaching hospital that provides advanced training programs including residency and fellowships. All educational activities carried out are audited by the Department of Health in order to comply with their standards.

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is currently in the process of seeking additional program accreditations for its other Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs.
In July 2018, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was awarded institutional accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME-I).
In July 2020, the hospital received program accreditation for the Transitional Year (Physician Internship) and Internal Medicine residency programs.
In 2021, the hospital received accreditation for the General Surgery program, Anesthesiology and Otolaryngology programs.
In 2022, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi received accreditation for the Ophthalmology program.
In 2023, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi received accreditation for the Urology and Emergency medicine program, and continued accreditation for Internal medicine.
In April 2022, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was awarded institutional accreditation by the National Institute for Health Specialties – Emirati board.
In January 2023, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi received accreditation for the Internal Medicine program.
