The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a large, highly experienced medical team. Our facility cares for patients with severe illnesses that require close monitoring and advanced life-sustaining interventions.

Care within the Institute is provided by a multidisciplinary team including several consultant intensivists, respiratory therapists, critical care nurses, and consultants from other medical specialties. The ICU at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is the largest single-unit ICU in the UAE, measured by the number of individual closed rooms within the one location. As of September 2017, the ICU has a capacity of 72 beds.

Welcome to the Critical Care Institute. Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi offers the largest Critical Care facility in the UAE and our multidisciplinary team of caregivers from around the world provide world-class care for patients from Abu Dhabi, the UAE and beyond, during their most critical time.

Our Critical Care Institute is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and a large, highly experienced medical team. Our facility cares for patients with severe illnesses that require close monitoring and advanced life-sustaining interventions. The Institute consists of a Neurologic Critical Care Unit that cares for complex neurosurgical patients, a Medical Surgical Critical Care Unit for kidney and liver transplant patients and a Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit for lung and heart transplant patients. We also care for patients supported by an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine.
