Robert L. Hood, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Emergency Medicine Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, he served in the US Air Force as an Emergency Medicine Physician and Flight Surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and he has over 23 years of experience in Emergency Medicine.
He has authored several scientific papers and articles in the field of emergency toxicology and held clinical faculty positions at Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Hood received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, US. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, US. Dr. Hood also holds a PhD in Developmental Biology.
Dr. Hood resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and two sons.
