Rahat Azfar, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Dermatology Department in the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Azfar worked in a private practice in Manhattan, NY and served on the voluntary dermatology clinical faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the State University of New York Downstate and New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens, in addition to Adjunct Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Azfar received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard University and Residency at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Azfar also obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania with a research focus on the link between psoriasis and metabolic disease as well as on the reliability and validity of teledermatology.
Dr. Azfar resides in Abu Dhabi with her husband. She enjoys traveling, running, and photography.
