Dominic Venne, MD, is Chief of the Neurological Institute, one of the five Centers of Excellence at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. Venne oversees the operations of the first fully integrated Neurological Institute in the Middle East which will provide treatment for a broad spectrum of neurological disorders.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Venne served as Head of the Division of Neurosurgery at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi from 2001 through 2012, where the division focused on brain tumor surgery. He was also a Consultant Neurosurgeon at Centre Hospitalier Notre-Dame & Reine Fabiola in Belgium from 1997 until 2001.
A native of Canada, Dr. Venne received a Master’s Degree in Biomolecular Sciences, a Doctorate in Medicine and a Post-Doctoral Degree in Neurosurgery from the University of Montreal. He has significant experience in the field of biology, biomolecular sciences and neurosurgery and is accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the French Community of Belgium.
Dr. Venne’s primary field of experise is in neurosurgery, with special interest in surgical neuro-oncology, brain tumors, pituitary tumors and skull base surgery.
