Antonio Sorgente, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Heart & Vascular Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Sorgente was employed in a critical capacity at the Arrhythmia and EP Center, IRCCS Policlinico San Donato, Milan, Italy, where he participated in more than 1,000 electrophysiology procedures, ranging from simple electrophysiological studies to complex supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia ablations and pacing lead extractions. Prior, Dr. Sorgente served as an attending cardiologist at Cardiocentro Ticino in Lugano, Switzerland.
Dr. Sorgente has authored and co-authored more than 50 papers on cardiac scientific literature, resulting in international recognition in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. He has contributed significantly to the advancement of patient care and scientific understanding in the field of cardiac electrophysiology. Additionally, Dr. Sorgente, is also an ad-hoc reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Sorgente earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Cardiology from the University of Bari, Italy, and received his PhD in Cardiovascular Science at University of L’Aquila in 2012. He completed fellowships in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard University, in Boston, Massachusetts, US.
