Dr. Raffi Gurunian, MD, is the Department Chair and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Gurunian was Staff Physician of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery department at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio.
Dr. Gurunian received his medical degree from Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey, and completed his plastic surgery residency at Marmara University School of Medicine.
Dr. Gurunian did a Microsurgery Fellowship, at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Ohio. He has practiced in Europe, the US, and in the Middle East, and has vast experience in plastic surgery, in particular in the field of breast surgery.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gurunian has performed over 10,000 operations. He has published over 150 articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and is the lead editor of two plastic surgery books.
Currently, Dr. Gurunian resides in Abu Dhabi, with his wife and two children. In his spare time, Dr. Gurunian enjoys working out, travelling, and playing chess.
