Dr. Arun Nair

Dr. Arun Nair, FRCA, is a Staff Physician in the Anesthesiology Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Nair was a Consultant Anesthesiologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, UK.  

Dr. Nair received his medical degree from the Government Medical College, Calicut, India. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology in the East Midlands (North) School of Anesthesia, UK.  In addition, he completed a fellowship in Thoracic and Upper GI anesthesia at Nottingham University Hospitals, UK, during his residency.

Dr. Nair has extensive experience in delivering anesthesia for most surgical specialties. He has an interest in anesthesia for head and neck surgery, thoracic surgery, upper GI cancer surgery, bariatric surgery and robotic surgery.  His area of special interest is in Transnasal Humidified Rapid Insufflation Ventilatory Exchange (THRIVE) for ENT surgery and management of the difficult airway and Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS).
