Biography

Dr. Artemisia Dimostheni, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Dimostheni was a Specialist and Junior Consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery at Eberhard-Karls University of Tuebingen, Germany.

She studied medicine at Johann Wolfgang-Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany. In her last year of medical school, she completed a fellowship in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Miami, Florida, US. After completing medical school, she completed her residency in the Department of Neurosurgery at the Eberhard-Karls University of Tuebingen, Germany in 2014.

During this time, she worked for more than nine months in the Intensive Care Unit and another six months in intraoperative monitoring training. Dr. Dimostheni covers all parts of General Neurosurgery, however she is particularly dedicated to Pediatric Neurosurgery. She is board certified in Neurosurgery in Germany. Her doctoral thesis 'Retrospective evaluation of techniques concerning the surgical management of the cervical spondylotic myelopathy' was supervised by the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Frankfurt, Germany. 

Dr. Dimostheni resides in Abu Dhabi and enjoys traveling.
