Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi marked UAE Flag Day today with a flag raising ceremony that brought together patients, staff and visitors.
Dr. Rakesh Suri, Acting CEO of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi presided over the ceremony alongside Abdulla Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Acting Head of Mubadala Healthcare. They were joined by patients and staff of all levels, ranging from senior doctors to members of the security and catering staff.
“This is an event that symbolizes unity, as people come together to show their loyalty and love for this country,” Dr. Suri said. “The UAE flag is a symbol of unity and respect for all citizens, and it is these virtues that we celebrate here today.”
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi employs around 500 Emirati caregivers across clinical and non-clinical functions as part of its commitment to developing the UAE’s next generation of healthcare leaders. They are joined by staff from 77 different countries and speaking more than 35 languages, all of whom come together to care for the Abu Dhabi community.
