Our Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We provide comprehensive emergency services to patients who require immediate attention for serious illness or injuries.

The state-of-art, 40-bed Emergency Department is fully equipped with dedicated imaging and laboratory services to deliver world class clinical care. Our services include a Critical Care Transport program, as well as being a designated Stroke Center.

Our Emergency Medicine Program is designated by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi as the official stroke and chest pain center for the Emirate. Our Emergency Department caregivers are equipped with the resources and training to quickly assess stroke patients, stabilize their condition, and provide rapid access to treatment.

In 2020, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Emergency Department became one of the first outside of the US to be awarded the prestigious Lantern Award. Given by the Emergency Nurses Association, the award recognizes emergency departments that demonstrate exceptional performance and delivery of the highest standards of care.

Educational innovation is a priority for the Emergency Medicine Institute and our entire team is dedicated to advancing healthcare through educational pursuits. We organize numerous educational initiatives and are committed to delivering excellence in teaching. As founders of the NEEMRA (National Emirates Emergency Medicine Residents Assembly) rounds, we bring together all academic emergency medicine programs in the UAE for regular online teaching, aimed at improving residency education through collaboration, for the benefit of the people of the UAE.
